Terry Uhling Receives 2015 Lifetime Achievement Award from Association of Corporate Counsel


(Boise, ID) - Terry Uhling, Partner at Marten Law, received the 2015 Lifetime Achievement Award, for the Associating of Corporate Counsel (ACC) Mountain West Chapter. Uhling received the award last Tuesday during the chapter’s annual Awards Gala held at the Zion’s Bank Building in Boise. The ACC is the world’s largest community of in-house counsel. The Mountain West Chapter consists of in-house attorneys from Idaho, Montana, Wyoming and Utah. Each year, the chapter recognizes the accomplishments of four attorneys for outstanding service to their organization and community. Individuals are nominated by their peers and selected by a committee of ACC members. This year, Uhling received the first of its kind, Lifetime Achievement Award from the chapter, along with three other esteemed attorneys, in front of an audience of 130 colleagues, organizations and friends.

Uhling’s work for Simplot has included landmark and precedent setting matters including the successful ongoing permitting and reclamation of the Smoky Canyon Mine in Idaho, the Nez Perc Water Rights Settlement Agreement, and the development and implementation of Sustainable Simplot, an innovative business sustainability program promoting ethical practices that ensure the future vitality of the company’s natural resources. Uhling’s ACC Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes the dedication and service he exemplified during his tenure at Simplot and continues to embody at Marten Law.
