Erika Anderson represents clients in complex transactional matters relating to cleantech, energy and sustainability. She has special expertise in markets for carbon emission credits, such as California’s cap and trade program under AB-32. She advises clients on all aspects of creating and evaluating offsets, and specializes in assessing and managing risk exposure for participants in volatile emerging carbon markets. She advises clients in negotiations relating to environmental certification, licensing products for management of environmental data and other complex transactional matters. Prior to focusing on environmental and sustainability matters, Erika represented clients in matters relating to capital markets, venture finance and derivatives.
Erika earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Cornell Law School and her B.S. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She also holds a Master of Music from the Eastman School of Music.
- Assists a project developer in all aspects of generation and sale of compliance and voluntary carbon offsets generated from destruction of refrigerants from domestic and international sources
- Assists clients in the development and licensing of software platforms for managing environmental data, which may be used for mandatory and voluntary reporting under various state and Federal regimes
- Assists clients in negotiating the international sales of software platforms which support projects in the area of micro-agriculture and micro-finance
